Over 150 people from different areas of the retail industry attended the second annual user group meetings hosted by leading marketing information company ACNielsen’s Merchandising Services and Spaceman team. The highly successful events were held in Sydney on 16 November and Melbourne on 17 November, and were also video broadcasted live to Brisbane and Auckland, New Zealand.
This year’s session featured a presentation broadcasted live from Washington DC, USA. The keynote speaker was Michael Sansolo, Senior Vice President, Food Marketing Institute, who presented on the latest retailing trends in the USA, supported by relevant case studies. Other guest speakers included Brad Parkinson, Retail Space Manager, Metcash and Marcus Harris, Productivity Manager, Officeworks.
Speakers from ACNielsen included Andrew McQuillan, Associate Director, Analytic Consulting, who presented on consumer centric space management, and Randy Armstrong, Regional Director, Category Management, ACNielsen Asia Pacific, who presented on the power of space management and key tools for success, whilst showcasing the latest developments in ACNielsen Space Management tools including: Product Planner, Store Planner and new features in Spaceman 7.2.
